Terra Global Capital - June, 2016
In collaboration with the Korean Forest Service, Korean Green Promotion Agency, and the Myanmar Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MONREC), Terra Global initiated a new REDD+ project in Myanmar, holding a three-day kickoff meeting in Nay Pyi Taw this June. The project will focus on the North Zamari Reserve Forest, which represents over 75,000 hectares of threatened tropical upland rainforest in the Bago Yoma region of Myanmar. The kickoff meeting was designed both to initiate the project as well as provide an opportunity for training of technical aspects of REDD+ program design and GHG quantification as well as knowledge sharing for all the project stakeholders.
