CTrees announced that, in partnership with Terra Global, it was chosen by Verra to provide jurisdictional activity data for deforestation for use with the new Consolidated REDD+ Methodology.
Terra Global announces that, after careful consideration, we will cease working in Uganda. The recently passed punitive law against people who identify as LGBTQ+ contradicts Terra Global’s values. In good conscience, Terra Global cannot work in a country that would pass such a law despite international pressure and widespread condemnation.
If this law were reversed, Terra Global would reconsider its decision, but as of now, it has officially withdrawn from all affiliation and partnerships in-country.
